FAQ

Every week for ten sessions, then we can review and decide together what would best suit you going forward.

Experience has shown me that a year of counselling can be extremely beneficial, it takes time to build a safe, effective and trusting relationship where all feelings and experience are accepted. For most of us it’s a new way of communicating and it may need a little time to learn the language.

We can have hybrid sessions – please expect face to face where possible for the first and last session as a minimum. A ‘real life’ session followed by an online session alternately sets a good rhythm. For younger children I would prefer IRL each week.

Sessions will be confidential, however as a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I adhere to their ethical framework which means that I undertake monthly supervision to ensure that I am working within my competencies and therefore discussions may take place albeit anonymously. The only time I would break our confidentiality agreement will be if I feel that there is a risk of significant harm to yourself or someone else. I will always be transparent and discuss this with you. I also adhere to GDPR 2018 and all personal information will be kept in a locked filing cabinet.

I have rooms in West London, Salisbury and the Southwest.

Other locations are available if necessary.

£80. I have kept my rates affordable as there is so much need.

I hold some concessionary places – please don’t be afraid to ask.

It can be scary for anyone to start counselling particularly children or young people, therefore I recommend that you attend the beginning of the initial session. If your child is over the age of 11, this may not be needed. Everything is taken on a case-by-case basis.
